Do you always use your turning signal while driving?

God gave us a turning signal for a reason people..... SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN SEE WHERE YOUR GOING!!!

I swear, about 90% of the peeps in South Florida dont know what a turning signal does or how to use it. Id admit that i'll even forget once in a blue moon, but most people down here never do it.

Yes I ALWAYS signal...and it really ticks me off when others don't.

Here in South Texas, signals are purely optional. The piggies WILL NOT ticket you for not signaling.

but God Almighty High on the Mountain of Wisdom help you if you SIGNAL while changing lanes 10MPH OVER THE SPEED LIMIT!! :Q They will call out the reinforcements, choppers, SWAT troops with RPGs and everything else. Force you off the road. Cuff you. Beat you. Video tape it, then say it never happened. Just like earlier this week in Cali.

Unfortunately, (IMHO) here in the USA, we have people that don't know how to drive (they don't signal either) teaching people how to drive.

I use mine all the time, yes. Changing lanes, turning, etc. It's just a habit I got into. When I lived in NE, almost everyone used theirs. Hardly anyone uses theirs in SC. There's this one particular traffic light that drives me crazy because no one uses their signal to indicate that they're turning left. Hardly anyone makes it through the light because everyone's waiting to see what the other bozo without a turn signal is going to do. I work right by there, too, so I use that light like 30 times a day.

I'd say a good 50% of the people signal here.

I personally always signal when turning left, signal when pulling off the road into a driveway, and when parking. Sometimes at a stopsign, but not always. Usually when merging on the highway. Usually when changing lanes. Not usually when going thru those 90 degree yield turns unless I plan on switching lanes right after. Not usually when one lane splits into two, but usually when two lanes becomes one. yadaa yadaa...

Seriously though, it's dangerous. I've been behind people that slam on the brakes going 70. Stop, then turn with no signal.

Sometimes it's good to have a 1400 pound car.

Yeah. These people are rare but I once saw one moron who was honking at a pickup in front of him because he wasn't making his right turn (and you know why? because there were people in the crosswalk!! duhhhhh....)

Another time, a taxi had a red light to go into a right merging turn (you know, when you can do a right turn from one street to another without stopping, you only have to yield, they normally don't have lights but this one did), and the guy behind him kept honking and eventually went around the taxi and ran the red light.

I use mine basically all the time, unless I'm doing a lane change and there aren't any cars near (like early in the morning) or in a left turn only lane or right turn only lane.

The only times I don't use it is when I am making an emergency manuever and I don't hit it in time. I use it all other times even if there is no one else on the road.

I ONLY use my turn signals just a few seconds before I am going to turn . . . I can't stand those drivers who leave them on continuously.

Yeah, I always use my signals because I do unexpected things while I drive and I want other people to be able to anticipate it. If I get cutoff while speeding excessively I know its cause people don't expect me to come up on them that fast so I don't get pissed. Likewise, if I'm flyin around slow people in the left lane, people don't expect that so again, I use my signals. Theres times when no one is on the road and I'm so used to using my signals that I signal anyways and people always look at me and go what was that for.

Some of the funniest things I see, are when you only have ONE choice (for example a street ends with a right turn ONLY available and people signal . . . what for?)

If you signal in the woods and there is no one around to see it, did you really turn?

Nope. If I'm at a stop light in the leftmost of two left turn lanes, why bother? If I'm on the freeway and I want to change lanes... at 1:00AM, with no cars visible at all in front of or behind me, don't bother then, either.

I only use it when A) It's not obviuos that I'm turning anyway, and B) there's actually someone there to see me use it.
