Do XTreme-G's drivers work with Dell's GeForce Go6800?

I have just ordered a Dell Inspiron 9300 notebook, with the following specs:

-Intel Pentium-M 760 (2.0GHz, 533MHz FSB, 2MB Cache, 90nm)
-17" WXGA TFT
-256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go6800 (NV41M)
-512MB DDR2 RAM
-40GB 5400RPM 2.5" Hard Drive
-DVD-ROM Drive (8x)
-Windows XP Home Edition (SP2)
-Standard notebook loadout (ports, etc.) plus beefier battery
-3 Year Warranty
--TOTAL PRICE: $1,866.00

Its a pretty damn good notebook for the price, and the only reason its over $1500 is because of the beefier warranty that I put on it (3 years).

Anyway, what I'm asking is, I looked at XTreme-G's 76.44-HD drivers last night, and I see that it works with the GeForce Go6800, but I remember a thing with Dell in the past that their video card\chip was different, and exclusive to Dell, so therefore only Dell supplied drivers would work. Is this the case with the Go6800? Or will it work just fine. I just don't want to be stuck with Dell's crusty old drivers, as I'm sure they aren't that new.

So, long story short, will the XTreme-G 76.44-HD drivers work with the Go6800 that I'm gonna get?

Only Dell supplied drivers? No. Its an Nvidia card, that is made exclusive for Dell through a contract not a driver. Normal Forceware, altered ones, XG all work

The regular NVIDIA drivers DON'T support mobile products. I have looked. Look in the "nv4_disp.inf" file, and you will see that there is no mention of mobile GPU's.

No, the regular NVIDIA drivers don't support mobile GPUs. I have looked with everything up to 71.89.

I'm glad those'll work, as I am bigtime pumped about this laptop I'm getting. Best of all, its free for me! Its nice to see that there aren't like 4 different versions of the Go6800, as I remember that with the GeForce2 Go, and even GeForce4 Go, there was a Dell, HP, Sony, etc. version, and the driver had to act differently with each. Well good. Its good to finally see some uniformity, just as there is with desktop graphics cards 😉 .
