Do women worry more than men?

It seems a lot of women are worry worts. They tend to jump to conclusions about a situation prematurely and put themselves through unnecessary misery. Do men worry as much and just not let it show similar to their other emotions?

Does this worrying by women serve to consolidate the family unit?

Well it's always the girl insects snacking on their boyfriend's carcass after "relations," so....

Maybe you should think a bit instead of focusing on not worrying.

I think that's a fair general statement. It could relate to the nurturing, maternal instinct women may have.
