Do women really get catcalled that often?

Saw this article on Yahoo today about boyfriends reacting to their ladies being catcalled.

Got me thinking though, is this really that pervasive?

I only know one guy who used to do it as a joke in his younger years. He was a dumber than a bag of hammers anyway. Don't think I've ever witnessed it just walking around town. Most folks barely talk to each other in this city.

Not saying women are lying when they claim they're being harassed. Plenty of pigs out there. But I get the feeling that the media is blowing things grossly out of proportion.

I can't say for sure, but I know that a few weeks back I went out of town for training and the same morning I left my wife had taken our three kids out for breakfast and some bald asshole swore up and down that they went to the same high school together. He wouldn't have tried that shit with me there I'm guessing.

Not the same as cat calling, but I've seen it happen. Boys at my daughter's high school have done it before too.

I've seen it happen very regularly in the seedier areas of San Francisco, Oakland, & Los Angeles. I see it happen occasionally in clubbing/bar areas where it's just drunk people yelling at women.

This reminds me.... one time, a guy walking past a young woman with a ton of lipstick told her she should cut back on the lipstick. She gave him an eff you, he laughed it off and said he was just trying to help. Seriously, she had way too much bright red lipstick.

I've never cat called a woman even once. That clearly means that cat calling must be the secret to getting women. In any case, doing the exact opposite to what I've been doing can't hurt your chances.

Yeah. My wife and I used to regularly go to a pub in a downtown area that was right next to a club called "Diesel". The way it was setup there was a patio slightly above the sidewalk and guys would go out there and smoke, get fresh air, talk on a phone, whatever. We always braced for the comments as we walked by. The catcalls to my wife from that place. Yikes.
