Do websites care if a program is constantly pinging them?

My new internet connection is inconsistent, so i installed a internet monitoring program to see is there are any patterns.

The program is set by default to ping websites in 15 second intervals. I don't know if leaving it like this is okay or not.

Do websites care if 1 computer is constantly pinging them?

I don't think so. Sometimes to check my internet connection is still there, I ping google for hours, and once for a day on end. If anybody cares they haven't done anything about it.

Called a ping or icmp flood. Firewalls recognize it and normally stop it.
