Do webhost companies custom tailor packages??

Just curious about this. Lets say you know your specific requirements, but they arent offered at a webhost. The package below it isnt enough, and you dont want to pay for the package above it. Can you email them and get a deal worked out to meet your requirements at a competitve price? As in, they'll say ok, we'll take package above what your needs are, cut it back a little bit and give you a bit of a discount......
 
80-90% of them will.

Edit > The reason I say this is because the hosting market is overly saturated, if the company sees a buyer who they know will buy hosting from them they will do as much as they can to make that buyer a client of theirs.
 
Yes most web hosts will.

I contacted the sales departments of two very reputable web hosts to get a custom quote. My request was slightly more bandwidth than their lowest package but I also wanted a significant discount. They were kind to make an exception and allowed me to pay yearly.

It's worth a shot, you have nothing to lose.
