nightcrew? nightcrew?

I for one am offended you had to ask....

can i have some limoncello?

Come over. I recently made the best batch yet. Saving one bottle for any AT (ATOT / ATDC) folks that ever mingle over to San Marcos....

i had some of that stuff at my cousin's house a week ago (she married an italian). pretty good, but a little sweet for my taste.

Was it store bought or home brew?

they bought it in italy, so i assume it's better than the store bought stuff here.

Was it store bought or home brew in Italy? (I've had both, and both are better than store bought US stuff).

Okay, just checking. :) I'm glad to hear someone else has had some good stuff. I've had my stuff tried by other brewers, and they approved. store bought. it was the first time i ever had it, so i can't judge on how it compares.

Excellent. Glad to hear someone else knows about limoncello. Definitely going to have to try some homemade though. :) My recipe is from a friends' family that went to Italy to visit and never left.

I'm here. 5th shift - forever - begin!
I have yet to try limoncello and I've been married to an Italian for 7 years. Live right next door to one as well. I'll have to ask my mother-in-law about making it homestyle.

Quite a few places in NYC, as I understand, have limoncello made. The good type Italian restaurants have either homebrew or relative homebrew at their establishment. I know of some places in San Diego that have good stuff. You should ask around.

I have my family coming in from Wisconsin next month for my boys baptism. Perhaps if I can get a good homebrew of limoncello going I can then send it off to my friends and family as Christmas gifts. I'm sure my wife or mother-in-law can find pretty little bottles to put that stuff into.

Yep. That's exactly what I do. I buy my bottles from Austin Brew Supply. Great place. And the Portuguese Floor Corker is a damned gift from the gods in bottling!

Mead, beer, limoncello, or spirits... Let me know what makes peaks your interest. My specialty is limoncello, but I have friends that brew beer and mead. Damn good mead. :)

I have a couple of friends back in Wisconsin who brew their own beer. I've always wanted to give it a shot, but I also didn't want to do what they were doing just because they were doing it. Rather strike out and do something on my own.

Try different ingredients then. Nothing wrong with learning from those experienced. Limoncello is a bit more simple, but more time consuming. If you are interested--send me a PM.

Nothing happens because the only two who have been contributing for the past couple hours is Choco and myself. We're no Abbot and Costello.
