anyone in here work as an UI designer for a company? what do u like or dont like about the nature of your work?
After some time as a QA test engineer, I'm thinking about doing something that involves more creativity and less repetitiveness in my daily tasks.

I sort of do that as one of my roles. It depends what you mean really. I do desktop software development and I'll take a concept from a graphic designer (someone who mocks up an ideal UI in Photoshop) then punch holes in their interface on how it could be improved to be more user-friendly, what won't work at all with it, etc.

It's sometimes called Human Factors Engineering and it's the stuff Spolsky and Tog evangelise.
