Easier for me to think of good chicks, much harder to think of younger dudes who can act.

Chris Evans maybe. Casey Affleck is decent, but he's almost 40 and has not acted anything in a while. Tom Hardy is under 40 and he is generally excellent.

I can't think of many. I started typing a list before realizing they were mostly all in their mid/late-30s.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is only 31, so maybe he counts.

It's hard to know though. I don't think most actors really establish themselves as names that will sell tickets until they're in their 30s.

Both were in movies directed by Chris Nolan

I've only seen Tom Hardy in Inception and TDKR

However, I've seen Joseph Godon-Levitt in

a few more movies.

Brick and the Lookout and he seems to have the acting chops.

However, his star quality hasn't been tested yet. Tom Hardy seems to have more of that but from the work I have seen from both of them I'd rate them atm more or less equal in acting ability so far.
