Do we have any intel 600 series overclockers here?

Im keeping an open mind and considering intel over the agp 939 A64 route due to the fact theres lots of 939 boards that seem to have alot of quirks. I cant seem to find one i like. So im considering intel. Id like to know if there are any overclockers of the EM64T 600 series procsessors and what results you have. Please post specs.

Edit: Would a Abit AS8 Intel 865PE be a good match for a 630 3.0Ghz CPU?

I'm not a big fan of the AS8 because it has a VDroop issue, meaning the VCore can fluctuate under load causing instability. You can mod the motherboard to fix this, but I'm not that skilled.

You would be much better off with a 925X based board; the best for the money is the ABIT AA8XE (non-Fatality). Without any mods, the board is also very good for high FSBs beyond 300MHz.

I took my 660 to 4.1GHz at stock VCore, but not much beyond that. It was a early model though; the newer 6xx CPUs are hitting 4GHz easy, and some do much more.

Im looking for a AGP board so i can keep my 6800GT without having to sell it and buy a PCI-E version. Do you know of any other boards that are the best for this?

Thanks.

4GHz+ on very good air or watercooling is a good possibility.... ;) As for a mobo, I would suggest either the ABIT AA8XE or ASUS P5AD2-E...

EDIT: Just saw your other post.... NM the above mobo suggestions...

EDIT: You may want to take a look at the DFI 865PE-TAG
