Bodyboarding > *.watersport

As far as desktops go... aint no love for our sport!

Got any shots of yourself in action? my favorite of me

Here for the others

I can never convience anyone to come out when the waves are cracking and I can really pull some good stuff. Only that one day. Kick ass day that one was.

ebodyboarding.com has a bunch of shots, not many wallpaper quality. I had another site that had a soem good wallpapers but I forgot it.

What kind of set up do you have? The board you see there is my BZ Hubb and I also have a Grodzen. The hubb is faster (flat bottom) but is less forgiving in the choppy waters. I sport Tech Fins. BTW, if you are new to the sport I would recomend some tech fins, but remember, comfort over preformance. I also have a 4/3 step in wetsuit (my baby).

I actually am using a bodyboard that i found at the beach, it's actually a pretty decent one, not the very very cheap ones you may find at some place like kmart. I'm planning on using that until i get at least a bit better. I have a pair of churchill fins, they fit well with some fin socks. For now, this is what i use, hopefully when i get better i can sport some better gear...hehe.

I went through 2 sets of churchills. I really liked them (I was just never smart about wearing some sort of fin saver). When you let your legs get rigid they really hold a nice edge.

Heh, Tip: if you aren't going to make the barrel it may not be the wisest idea to attempt to out run it by heading straight for the flats. Thats how I lost both sets of fins. Its hard for them to stay on when 15 feet of water crash on your legs :)

haha...i know the feeling. I almost lost my fins, which is what drove me to get the soce to fill in the gaps. I wish i could DK and get some air, but i guess that will come with practice...btw, the site that you suggested has some pretty decent pics. takes of lot of looking through, but it's a lot better than some of the hits i've been getting on google.

Bodyboarding is the weak man's surfing. I've been a bodyboarder all my life, but that's only because I don't have own a surfboard.

That's a pretty weak excuse. It's not like it's hard to acquire a surfboard. I had a garage full of surfboards, and so did most of my friends. They're all over the place.

Then I had to move 100 miles from the ocean. This palce sucks, I want to move back. :(

Well I live in Washington, so I went to the ocean with my family mostly (only time I surfed was in a trip to Jersey where the water was warm). If I go to the ocean with friends or something, I'm drunk as hell and the ocean is frigid cold. I used to be able to go out in it for an hour and just be numb when I was a kid, but these days I avoid it.

But I imagine I'll get a surfboard eventually, as long as I pick up a wetsuit with it.

I don't know how many surfboards there are in Washington, but there are a ton of them in Santa Cruz, CA.

Damn if I lived in Santa Cruz of course I'd own a surfboard.. but people who live here in Tacoma have no reason for a garage full of surfboards and I rarely see them

storing a surfboard isn't that hard. You lean it up against a wall.

if you knew where i lived, you wouldn't want a surfboard either. I could always leave it in the balcony, but being how windy it is these days, it would probably fall off and hurt someone.

If bodyboarding is the weak man's surfing, than surfing is the weak man's paddlesurfing.

Me in action I wish I could show you a bigger wave, but it is almost a guarantee that if you bring a camera to the beach, there will be no waves. Perhaps when I get a better camera one of these days...

I store my 8-foot boat standing on its end in my parents condo. I'm sure you can fit a board in your apartment somewhere....just pull your bed out from the wall a foot and throw it behind your bed!
