doctors of osteopathy vs medical doctors...whats the difference and why the stigma

This question coming from an AT user who's nick is COLLEGERESOURCES, priceless! 😛

MD is allopathic, DO is osteopathic. Osteopathic schools have additional courses in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). OMTs are manipulative techniques to help heal, relieve pain, and restore range of motion More information on DOs

are u a real doctor?

Nope. Premed, and I intern at a local hospital doing bitch work for the doctors and nurses. In return they give me minimum wage, and case studies to prepare for for med school. I'm from a family of doctors (6 total), so I'm pretty well versed in the medical field.

but why the stigma against DO's

Because many MDs questions their methods. They veer from the traditional practices, and, therefore, create a stigma for themselves.
