n : therapy based on the assumption that restoring health is best accomplished by manipulating the skeleton and muscles

Sounds chiropractic to me.

MD is allopathic, DO is osteopathic. Osteopathic schools have additional courses in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). OMTs are manipulative techniques to help heal, relieve pain, and restore range of motion More information on DOs

Nope. Premed, and I intern at a local hospital doing bitch work for the doctors and nurses. In return they give me minimum wage, and case studies to prepare for for med school. I'm from a family of doctors (6 total), so I'm pretty well versed in the medical field.

Because many MDs questions their methods. They veer from the traditional practices, and, therefore, create a stigma for themselves.
