I'm guessing some would, just as some Americans like UK accents.

I bet looks and status/wealth have more to do with whether a chick "digs" you than the accent.

You should probably spend more time worrying about your current American family and American problems. Dont go dragging some poor englishwoman into your craziness.

Brittish people tend to sound retarded to me. I'm not sure why but whenever I hear one, it conjurs up images of retarded people.

Not sure about UK girls...but I met an Australian girl that loved my NY accent....even though I kept telling her I didn't have an accent.

A kiwi is making fun of somebody else's accent? In what crazy, upside down world did I wake up?

Oh, please. You don't even know what an American accent is.

Everyone knows what an American accent is.

I'm pretty neutral to most accents, though I do like Australian slightly more than others.
South African accent always sounds a bit off to me for some reason, but not in a bad or good way, just different. My uncle and his kids (my cousins) are from SA, so I hear it at least when they come over every couple years.

Now that I think about it, I don't particularly like Indian accents (there is a range, I guess like most other countries) but some of them bother me a little and some are slightly more pleasant than other accents. There's a lot of infusion of British English in some Indian accents, which tend to make it a little more variable depending on the background of the speaker.

Which American accent? New York? Boston? Southern? Californian? Wisconsin?

He probably means the standard "midwest" accent, but a New Zealander (or anyone else from a different English speaking country) probably notices general speaking patterns that indicate a person is "American".

There are a ton of UK accents, but I hear all the time people just saying "British accent" and understand what they mean, even if they don't give a more specific location for that accent.

Where are you from? Someone told me they liked my accent, which is interesting because last I checked theres no region-specific accent in south Florida.

I dunno but the Australian accent is annoying. I think of Claire from Lost... ugh.
