Do u hook your CPU fan tp the PSU or the Mobo Header?

Hello,

I read a post lot long ago about some Vantec PSU.
Some guy hooked his CPU fan up to it and then, for some reason, it turned off all the fans?/

My question is;

Is it safe to connect the CPU fan to one of the Power Supply Molex Connectors.
I have an Enermax Dual Fan 350W PSU. I have my 60mm CPU fan connected to the Power Supply.
Its cooling an Athlon XP 1800 @ 1.5Gigs. This PSU has never let me down, but if there is a chance it will maybe I should connect it straight to the Motherboard Fan Hearder???

Can anyone enlighten me please?
Thanks in advance.

i have read horror stories about fans burning out the mobo's fan headers before, so now i recommend connecting directly to the PSU

I wouldn't hook up any fan that has a high power draw to the mobo header, like the Thermaltake smartfan 2 that draws something like 8 watts at full speed. If it doesn't have a high power draw it's probably okay to connect it to the mobo header.
