Do TV Tuners work with sattellite receivers?

I have a DirectTV sattellite receiver and I want to hook it up to my computer monitor. I am wondering if a regular TV tuner card works with sattellite receivers? If so, can anyone recommend me a good one... possibly that uses svideo? Thanks


oh also.. do TV tuner cards use full screen or is it in a window?

the tv tuners can be run windowed or full screen
they can also be used with a sattelite reciever but will require a seperate reciever box
i used the all in one wonder from ati in xp and 98 with a sattelite reciever and the tv wonder in 98
but i only have experience with those models i have heard good things about aver Hauppauge
