I was given a (what I thought was nice hehe) candy cane only to find out after about 30 licks it got so damn salty that the ocean would be a suitable mouthwash! D:

I know they have prank salt water taffy that's like that (been there, done that!) but a candy cane around this time of the year?

I have one with a tiny sword blade, I use it for elf defense.

Who are you? With that many posts, elite, and I don't think I've seen you post in OT. Name change?

You've never seen Daves posts? Besides being incredibly knowledgeable in hardware, he has run the ATOT Childsplay charity drive for the last 5yrs (see sticky) where ATOT'ers send books/toy/video games and such to childrens hospitals. Besides donating his time to the cause he matchs contributions totalling thousands each year. Real stand up dude

Nope, I've used this one since 2001. I don't post often in Off Topic, I'm pretty much a lurker here. I usually post in the hardware and gaming forums.

Your problem is that you were eating a candy cane in the first place. Blegh.
Like most others, I am unaware of "trick" candy canes, but most of my experience with candy canes involves sharpening the point and using them to shank each other. And decorations. I've used them for decorations too.

No it's a peppermint stick which I enjoy.
Things like beer, pizza, tacos, coffee, soda pop I find rather over rated and un enjoyable. ;)

Things like beer (agree), pizza (strongly disagree), tacos (disagree), coffee (agree, but it smells damn nice), soda pop (slightly disagree) I find rather over rated and un enjoyable. ;)

Your taste buds need to be calibrated. Pizza and beer are a man's soul. Nevermind that suggests I am lacking a complete soul due to my dislike of beer.

My taste buds are fine.
I'd rather eat things I enjoy AND are healthy to boot. ;)

REAL pizza (not the mass produced crap that most eat in the U-S-A) actually is OK with me.

The same is true about beer. Most people are drinking the equivalent of goat piss. D:

Shens. Everyone knows how healthy something is for you is inversely proportional to how healthy for you it is. Regardless, I forgive you if you can accept real pizza. If only I didn't suck at making it so much, I'd eat it more. I can't really comment about the beer, as I just don't like it in general. Then again, I haven't gone out of my way to try and find good beer (does an irish pub located in the US count?).

Der, isn't that a real candy and not a prank? Vomit flavored jelly beans; now there's a prank candy.
