I just got my new contact lenses (torics). Its my first time having toric lenses. When I put them in, I was blind. I gave myself about a day to adjust and they didn't seem to get any better.

On a whim, I flipped them inside out and now I can see great. Is it normal for them to come inside out like this? I don't remember it being like this when I tried them on at the eye place.

I don't know about those, but my Air Optics don't seem to have an inside or out, they work either way.

Only time I go blind with them is when I switch left with right :D

When I was wearing contact lenses they seemed to come inside out about half the time. I think they just randomly do that while bouncing around in the fluid.

I've been wearing dailies for the past 11 years, so I've opened about 8000 contact packages. Never had this problem before.

I ran into it all the time, maybe it was just the brand? Anyways, once you get used to it you'll be able to tell just by glancing at it while its on your finger tip. When mine were inside out they kind of flared out at the edges rather than having a nice smooth curve.

Soft lenses?

I wear torics and found that they are WAY easier to tell which way right-side-up is than normal lenses (never understood with normals).

The normal is when they are eliptical/oval when they stand on your finger.

Wrong-way is when the entire lens forms a U-shape. Flip them up and down and look for the difference.

How were you not in pain if you had them inside out? They form a lip that doesn't sit right in your eye if their inside-out.

its not uncommon for them to flip

Put it on your fingertip and look closely. If its a perfect half circle, its right. If the edges at the top bulge out, its wrong.
