latex mattresses have ALL the advantages of tempurpedic without the major disadvantage, tempurpedics eventually break down, latex doesn't.
tempurpedic is popular because of the marketing, but they aren't necessarily better than Latex.
latex ROX. i got one from the same place as riprorin.
believe me, it's worth every penny.

Ya, I read that incredible thread before, but I thought my response was more pertinent to this thread since it was precisely my answer to his question.
While I'll agree that I was swinging towards the latex mattress at mattresses.net, I had a tough time forking out $1244 for a delivery of a mattress that I would have to return if I didn't like and lose money in shipping charges. The Tempur was more expensive, but if we don't like it, we have paid no delivery charges, and we can buy a conventional mattress without any loss in money. Plus they had the 120 day comfort guarantee. That's pretty re-assuring, even against another product costing $400 more. Plus, like I said, we didn't even have to pay sales tax and shipping or delivery fees. A true no cost test drive.
If I didn't like the latex mattress from mattresses.net, I would have to pay for the original shipping ($149, plus at least that amount in return) for a trial. This way, I don't have to pay anything should I decide to return it.
