Nobody ever asked if it was required or not. And even if it was required, I'd think they would've added it to gasoline by now.

As for the ORIGINAL question, I'd like to know as well. I'm not sure about the "every tank" bit, but I do wonder if gas treatments do anything worthwhile for the $2.50+ you'll spend on it.
