Do those deer whistle thingies for cars actually work??

Never heard of 'em. My advice is just shut off your headlights if you're approaching a deer. ;)

When I lived in the hills, I had them. Deer didn't even give me a second look. I had to swerve onto the sholder to hit them.
My neighbor had them too and a deer ran into the side of his car as he was doing 45 MPH.

I do, and thats good advice. The reason the damned dumb critters stand there is because their blinded by your lights. Turn'm off and hope you dont drive off the road.
