Do those bug killer outlet boxes really work?

I am tired of all the big arse spiders deciding to make mad dashes around our place. I want to lock the place down for bugs. ANy tips?

I am thinking.

1.) Get outdoor spray for the yard surrounding the house.

2.) Indoors spray for along all the walls and baseboards, under couches and beds.

3.) Get like 20 of them bug wall mount devices. Screw the 1 per floor or room. 1 in every outlet if they work.

PS I don''t care if you have spiders the size of face huggers, I am sorry to hear that, just I am asking mainly if those electric devices work on them and if not what the hell has worked for you.

EDIT I just purchased 12 of those Black and Decker brand units. I know its way overkill but they don't cost that much. 16.99$ for a 3pack. So I figured if these things somewhat work then I really should see a difference in bug level in my place. I will repost in a couple weeks if I decide to keep them or return them. Being 2 days later, it seems to be working, only seen two bugs in the house.

diazanon if you can find it....perimeter outside your home about 10 wide...all bugs dead. wear long sleeves and pants...wash immediately and dont let kids or pets play in the yard for a while. I am getting ready to blast again.

it works

I use SUSPEND.
A spectacular poisonous substance that you spray on and it dries clear. Inside and outside. When dry it is perfectly harmless to mammals, birds, fishies, and reptiles.
It kills all insects, etc
Even spiders!

Here we have a business that sells to the general public all the stuff that the pros use.......Costs about $50 for a bottle thatll last at least @ year if you sprayed every 3 months.

You'll all be happy to know I tried one of those bug repellers back in 2000.

It actually ATTRACTED more bugs!

Best way to get rid of the bugs... either hire a pest control firm to do quarterly sprays... or get the sprays they use and spray for yourself.

They do nothing. I've tried them

Aerosol Bombing works excellent though

What is good stuff to use indoors that has no odor? Links and where to buy?

Dang spiders are all over this summer...

Yea actually. About 2 years ago i did a test.

Waited till i saw an insect, think it was a spider, then i plugged in the thing, slowly and not directly, but it did move towards the sound thing.

Wow you guys are gonna get a laugh out of this. I just bought 4packs of 3 of these Blackand Decker brand. I can still return them but I figured overkill is the way to go, and if I still see spiders then I will simply return them, if I don't see spiders then of course I will keep all 12. 🙂

HAHAHAHAH overkill i know. I will respond in a week or two on if I keep them or not.

We've got two, one main one that sends something through all the walls, and then a little free one. We've had significantly less bugs. Hardly ever do we find spiders anymore, and the ant problem has gone way down.
