Wow, over one hundred and twenty years. I think A&W only started in 1919. I will have to contact them and see if any distributors in Alaska carry it. Thanks.

Good stuff. Bit more "creamy" tasting than normal root beer. Quote from the website:

Ahhh, Hires! Yet another famous Philadelphia brand, like Frank's (originator in this country of Black Cherry Wishniak -- mmmmmmmm -- if you don't know what I'm talking about, you're not from Philly), Breyer's, and Tastycake, but NOT Philadelphia Cream Cheese!

They still sell it here. I bought a case the other week and its not bad. A&W is still way better.
