you know on some things, they have this highly reflective coating on tv screen or phone screens, where if no light is passing through, it acts as a mirror, but if there is light coming out, it will act as a regular screen?

do they sell these things in the form of an adhesive or film that I can apply to things?

I can't find any....

no...i'm not doing that...I'm just wondering to see if there is some kind of film or adhesive where I can put over the phone of my screen.....so it will act as a mirror when it is not on.......

no. if you want a mirror from one side you're not going to be able to see through to the other side no matter what.

A polarizer could do that. Not sure if they make specialty products to put on cell phones though.

Is it not just plain glass normally on the outside? With the darkened interior of a TV screen would it not just emulate a appearance of a mirror?

You must be a witch

"What do you do with witches?"
"Burn Them!"
"And what do you burn apart from witches?"
"More witches!" (peasant gets slapped)
"Wood!"
"So why do witches burn?"
"Because they're made of... wood?"
"Good! So how do we tell whether she is made of wood?"
"Build a bridge out of her!"
"But can you not make a bridge out of stone?"
"Oh ya."
"Tell me, Does wood sink in water?"
"No, it floats."
"Throw her into the pond!"
"What also floats in water?"
"Bread, apples, very small rocks, cider, gravy, cherries, mud, churches, lead..."
"A duck!"
"Exactly!"
"So..."
"If she weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood."
"And therefore?"
"A Witch!"

yea, they actually make phones like that these days.....for fashion...when not in use, the screen will have that mirror effect...

so a polarizing film willl do that? now, i've neer seen a polarizing film before, but polarized sunglasses are black.......is that the same thing??

I read that three times before I realized, you meant the screen of your phone.
