So I got this memory card reader and I have no USB header to plug it into. The only usb header on the mobo is used by the front USB ports.

Anyone know if an adapter is made? Then I could route the cable through the back.

TIA

You can buy front bay-mounted ports or rear slot-mounted ports that connect to the headers on your motherboard. Perhaps some of these have a hub built-in? Of course, you can always use an external hub or a PCI controller card (probably not neccesary).

Maybe my post is confusing.

There is one USB header on the SFF mobo. It is being used by the usb ports built into the front of the sff case.

So I have no where to plug in my 7-1 media card reader. The media card reader is made to sit in a 3.5" bay and plug into a usb header on the mobo. I'm wondering if there is an adapter so I can plug the media card reader into a USB port on the rear. ( just route the cable through the back of the SFF PC )

Thx

You could always chop up a USB extension cable and splice it with the end on your multi-reader. The wires should be color-coded.

I understood. I saw this thread and decided that I couldn't contribute anything more than "You could splice the cable",which I'm sure you knew, so I didn't reply. Then my brother (Ichinisan) replies for me, AS me :) You could have edited the contents out and pasted them in another quick reply from the correct account so I don't look like an idiot Ichinisan ;)
