Do they make rj11 keystone jacks?

My house is remodeling and I just wired some cat5e thoughout the house. I want to put the rj45 jacks in the same wallplate as the phone jacks. I cant seem to find any rj11 jacks! The only ones I have seen are built into the wallplate already. Do such jacks exist? Anyone know where I can find them? Thanks.

An RJ11 plug will clip into an RJ45 recepticle, no problem.

If you do end up using all RJ45s, get wall plates with inserts, then get inserts of different color so you can semi-officially designate the "blue" jack as the phone system and the "green" as the data.....

Good Luck

Radio Shack sells Cat3 RJ12 for $2.99 Part#278-2022 You *SHOULD* be able to use that for regular telephone

Sure, I know Home Depots have them, probably also Lowes, maybe Radio shacks, certainly Graybar (best selection), Fry's if you live the golden west, and just too many other hardware/electrical stores and probably even your local phone company. Maybe they will sell you some modular jacks with faceplates for a normal retail cost.

careful with what Lowes sells for telephone and networking...I went out of my way to stop by there one day looking for keystone jacks, only to find they carry some off brand proprietary size that wasn't going to be compatible with my existing keystone wall plates and patch panels.

of course, YMMV, but for reference the lowes I went to is Westminster, CA near Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the tip, I was just about to stop at lowes. I'll probably head off to frys this weekend 🙂
