Do they make a sedan with bench seats anymore?

I hate my wife's sedan a Ford 500. My knees hit dash on one side, no leg room, and definitely can't do any swapping/playing while driving. Looking for something else now that it's getting to three year mark - she hates my Towncar but I would like something with a bench seat this time around I can talk her into...

how tall are you? i'm 6'3 and have no problems in a taurus/sable, i don't recall the 500 being much different. there are some cars with annoying ergonomics, but i don't think that means a bench seat is a necessity.

impala does not have a bench. i can't think of anything other than the towncar/marquis (both only sold to fleets now) that has a bench, in fact. but i think there likely to be plenty of mid or full size cars more suited to you, assuming you're not of any astounding proportion.

I love my town car. I feel cramped in just about everything else. Of course, I am 6'6" so it isn't too surprising.

If you're wife isn't comfortable driving a car big enough for you to fit in easily, don't try to force her into one. Let her drive her car, and when you go somewhere together, take your lincoln.

I hate racing seats like in most cars. Too confining. And the center consoles are too small can only have one arm at a time. And leg well too small too. Basically we tried the altimas the camery and several others and all are built the same. Small center console, minimal leg spread, and cockpit feel. Want something like towncar but sporty. I'm not that big either 6'4" 240.

Had a 2001 and now 07' best car ever IMO and I've had a lot of cars.

Anyway you're right of course but it's not like she enjoys what she calls 'the land yacht' so she wants to drive lots of times and we are trying to find a compromise.
