Do they make a 1/8" mini A/B switch?

The normal 1/8" mini splitters degreade the sound too much for my taste... Do they make any a/b switches that can keep the full output?

can you give a little bit more detail as to what you would use this for?

For instance, in my use, switching headphones is not instantaneous due to the time it takes to remove the cans from my head and place a different pair on, so I've always just manually switched the headphone connection as well rendering a headphone A/B/x switcher a non-need.

Even speaker switchers (good ones) have been shown to change the sound quality in a measurable and perhaps audible way. Depending on the change of impedence w/r to FR of the headphones, their sound quality could change in different ways due to the switch.

Also, most switchers that I know of (affordable) do not level match. So if the sensitivity of your headphones varies, a direct comparison is difficult, and you would have to rush to change the volume knob.

Im looking to use it to switch between my headphones/amp and my desktop speakers... I'm actually considering just getting the Turtle Beach Micro USB sound card and use that clean output for my headphones/amp and use the built in output for the speakers, just switch it in software. I hate reaching around to swap the cables :)

Ah, in that case, I'd probably do that, get a sound card with an external box (audigy plat ex would work as well). In the software, you can set the headphone to defeat the speakers when the box detects the 1/4" output being used.
