I would be more concerned about ripple then MOV. If your house gets hit with lightning MOV is useless. I would invest in a descent Anti-Surge Power Bar.

It is a HEC build, like the 500B. Given the fact it has the same single rail config and 480W rating on the +12v, I would guess it's just a cut down (lower efficiency, fewer connectors, possibly cheaper components) version of the same platform, so if that's true, it definitely doesn't have a MOV.

As for the Zalman... It's an Enhance unit that apparently no one has reviewed. It could be good. No idea if it has a MOV.

I could be mistaken but I think I see a mov in the second pic, the yellow thingie in the bottom left. If so, I think it's safe to assume the 500W model has a mov too.

A more interesting question is how necessary a mov actually is. Also, why these 2 models?
