Do Thermalright SLK-800/900 fit on MSI KT3 Ultra 2?

Hi I was recently thinking of upgrading my processor from Athlon 1600+ when I realized that Athlon 1700+ JIUHB is very cheap and is highly overclockable.

My question is do Thermalright SLK-800 or 900 fit properly on MSI KT3Ultra2 (i know it has the mounting holes on it but in terms of width and length without bending the transistors?)

Also I am only able to push the board to 145FSB with passive NorthBridge cooling but I am wondering how far has anyone been able to push such a board with air cooling? Maybe my ram is limiting me since i have DDR-2100; and the official website states that KT3Ultra 2 supports at least up to 166FSB?

Thanx.

According to Thermalrights website the SLK800/900 will fit the KT3 Ultra2-R board without a problem. The non raid version should fit fine as well. It is very possible that your PC2100 is limiting you, but there is another possibility as well. The 1/5 divider kicks in at 155mhz and above if I remember correctly. Running at 145 will make your PCI bus and AGP bus out of spec. Try setting your speed to 166 in the bios. I dont think the passive NB is the problem either.
