Do the sound effects on ESPN annoy the piss out of anyone besides me?

Gah! I can barely watch sportscenter anymore because the retarded producers think that the whiz-bang whoosh roar sound effects are somehow attractive to their 18-34 audience. I was watching sportscenter the other day, and half-watch a nascar segment called "four on the floor", where they had a tachometer on the floor and piped in engine roar sounds so loud I could barely hear what they were talking about.

arrrg....they are ruining tv by dumbing it down!

No. It usually sounds pretty good with surround sound. At this point, ESPN has some of the best HD programming out there. SportsCenter in HD is great stuff.

Yes, you aren't the only one, it's horrible!!!

They're putting up sound effects with certain graphics during highlights and interviews (on par with the Fox football robot crap), it's so loud that it obliterates 3-5 seconds of what's being said -- incredibly amateurish!
