Do the Republians have to renominate Bush?

Holden, an incumbent in Missouri, didn't get the democratic renomination, so I suppose that means the Republicans don't have to renominate Bush, correct?
 
Technically, no they don't, but since noone is running against him, the nomination votes have to go to him.
 
They don't have to, but they have so much political capital (capitol? sp?) invested in Bush, it'd be crazy to switch ships mid stream (talk about a mixed metaphor)...
