Do the new Lite-On 40x CD-RW's make 1:1 copies, raw-doa, that whole bit?

I need a new burner so this is why I ask. I got stuck with a burner that couldn't make 1:1 copies last time I bought and that was a BIG bumber. Anyone have this drive?, can you make 1:1 copies with clone-cd and all those progies? Thanks a bunch.

Here's a review of a couple of 40x burners including the Lite-On. Lots of technical details, maybe your question will be answered there.

Based on Cdrinfo review, yes, it can make 1:1 copy of most of the stuff except the copy protected audio CD's.

bdog231...

Check the CloneCD site...I'm pretty sure this burner really rocks with CloneCD...handles just about anything, other than the "tages" (sic) protection...

The Liteon drives are pretty much the best drives for 1:1 copies out right now, better than plextor..
The only thing they CANT do is read copy protected (cactus) audio discs...they can write the discs, but cant read them, so if you use a drive that can read it, you can burn it with the liteon

It's a killer drive 🙂
