Do the methods for applying Artic Silver Ceramique or 5 differ for AMD 64/FX?

On the artic silver website it says to use half a BB size dolop on the P4 heatspeader, but AMD 64/FX have a bigger heatspreader then the P4 and maybe bigger core? So does the amount you dolop in the middle differ for the amd 64/FX is what Im wondering. Thanks!
