Do stickied threads have a time limit or are they permanent?

Im just curious....

Like when a thread gets a sticky, do they set a date and time for it to be released, or does a mod just unsticky it at some point??

I think the general limit is 90 days. I am pretty sure that they are not permanent because most of the stickied threads will eventually fall. That includes the For Sale/Trade rules, bad trader list, and whatever other announcements are posted by the Mods/Admin staff.

not sure how it is in fusetalk-- but in phpbb you can't set a time limit on stickies, you just sticky and un sticky them when you want

The FuseTalk Software allows you to set a sticky anywhere between 1 and 365 days.

When someone sees a sticky falling, the mods are usally alerted and a command decision is made to let it slide or stick it up for another time period.
