I'll be heading off to college in the fall and after building/consolidating my college pc, I'll have some extra hard drives, a cd burner, and maybe a full system. Have you guys found it is east to sell parts at school? Or should I just go ahead and FS/T them?

Not at Purdue. Everyone here lowballs like no other. Some guy offered me $100 for my 15" Dell LCD that I was asking $200 for. The next guy offered me $125.

Besides, Students going back to school are not going to be in the market for just parts. The ones that might already have done what you did (peiced together a computer) by now. The others have mommy and daddy buying them Dells. Just sell off on FS/FT or Ebay it. You will get a quicker resolution anyway.

If you have a car sell it thru ebay and drive to the post office/Mail Boxes etc. to drop off your packages. I had a bunch of hardware I needed to get rid of and everyone at my dorms wanted to buy my parts 1/2 or less of their value. (ex. my 60gb hdd used for 2 months for $25, WTF). Ebay is the way to go in most cases if your hardware is not super out of date (>1 year old).
