Do some people in the world deserve to die.

Do you agree there are some people in the world whose death would make the world a better place. The face that they are still alive is an affront to humanity. We should welcome their deaths with open arms.

I would say so, I would say we could classify child rapist, murders, and people like Fred Phelps, Benny Hinn, and Bin Laden in this group of those who deserve to have death rain down on them.

**** This is not a threat to anyone, I am not calling for the killing of anyone.

really no I don't think any of those people deserve to die.

1. You kill Bin Laden and all you do is make him a Martyr. If we find him he should be forced to watch old reruns of '90's TGIF. Once he's watched enough Blossom and Step by Step he'll kill himself

2. Fred Phelps has every right to say what he says. Yes I find it vile but killing him makes me no better than him.

3. Benny Hinn you mean that guy on TBN that performs "miracles" I suppose if he ever killed and ate a jewish baby he would deserve to die. Until then who cares.

The "?" is just to the right of the "." on your keyboard.

Planets have points of view? You and I are the only things with points of view, and I'm not all that sure about you.

he is saying that without the damage humans have caused, planet earth would be beautiful and pristine

Planet Earth would be better off without humans

Most certainly.

But people can change for the better, and this is what we should strive to do.

Perhaps a very few. However I mean VERY few. I am generally anti death penalty for just about any crime. When the deeds of the evil person start to affect very large numbers of people, an entire country, a whole race, then things start to get a little grayer for me. I would definitely say that Hitler deserved death and should have been killed before WWII got going. But in the same breath I would not condone the execution of regular rapists or murders (life in prison definitely). Off the top of my head the only people I would put on such a list would be:

Hitler
Stalin
Pol pot
etc...

perhaps a few others but not many.

You have obviously never had this happen to someone close to you.

I know someone who is going thru the issue right now of a Child Molestation issue... and while it is not my immediate family... if i had 1 minute alone with the fucker ... i would kill them in an instant.

And then you'd go to prison and make your life even worse. It's not worth it. Besides, have you even considered that death might be a release for these kind of people? Pedophiles are usually dead men walking in prisons, even hardened murderers have moral issues with them.

What do you think of family members of people who have been murdered who do NOT want the guilty person to be executed. I've heard of mothers and fathers of children who have been murdered or raped who are against the murderer or rapist being executed. It's a lot more commen than you think. You are right I have never been directly affected by this but there are plenty of people who have been who still share my view as well, this I know.

Grand until you find out they are innocent. Until we are capable to prove ABSOLUTELY that someone committed a crime I will never be behind a death penalty. People lives should never be trusted to a group of people who weren't smart enough to get out of Jury Duty (George Carlin, I think). This has been doubley confirmed after meeting posters like you and thinking that one day you could be in that little box struggling to stay awake in between salivating at the chance to "give em a big ole shot of justice".

Oh and everyone has had something horrible happen to someone they love. Stop playing on people's emotions to get them to agree with you.

Many people deserve to die. And no second chances either. If they didn't give their victims a chance before being raped, seriously assaulted, killed for no reason etc, why should we as a society put up with that?

Remove their gene from the gene pool, I'd say. There are way too many humans in this world but the least we could do is make sure we don't have any callous murderers and rapists etc contributing to the population.

Isn't the death penalty the easy way out anyway?
I mean, if someone has made you suffer, would you rather they died, or they spent the rest of their life suffering in prison?

But it's our perspective which lends the word "better" meaning to begin with. What does it mean for a ball of rock to be "better off"? I wish people would stop anthropomorphizing the Earth. You should care about the Earth because you live on it. There are aesthetic reasons for conservation of course, but they are ultimately selfish because we're the only things in nature (that we know of) even capable of appreciating beauty.

Because we destroy that which we love so readily.

I disagree with this part. For every martyr who inspires a religion or a revolution there are probably thousands who're simply rotting away anonymously.
