I was just thinking about this when I read about some guy's $1800 mattress.
My parents still sleep on "paathrees" and on occasion I sleep on one when I go
home because I took all of my stuff to my new place.

Do you or someone you know still sleep on them?

Basicly, alot of old people in India and surrounding areas sleep on layers of blankets or comforter-like stuff on the floor with a pillow or two.

EDIT - I guess an old foreign homemade sleeping bag.

Whenever I'm in India, I sleep like that

I have a nice, soft, comfy mattress here at home.
