Do smokers really bother you?

Really. Every time I see one I am just disgusted. It's gross. They look stupid holding a rolled up piece of paper in their fingers or mouth. It smells horrible and it ruins your life.

Anyone that smokes automatically loses a lot of respect from me.

They bother me when they smoke outside the building. I'm 3 floors up yet every time one walks by down there outside somehow the smoke smell always ends up through my window and stinks up my room :frown:

I have trouble breathing for awhile if I'm around a smoker long enough. Of course, it can be much worse if the smoker is inconsiderate and doesn't blow the smoke up or at least in the other direction.

Whats even worse is someone who smokes, then they put tons of cologne/perfume on and you can smell them from 16 feet away.

People have a right to smoke, I have a right to clean air.

If they're puffing in my face, I'll either leave if possible or if not, ask them politely to stop.

If they're breaking a law (smoking within xfeet of an entrance to an establishment) I'll go get management and have them move them.

Edit: I love California, no smoking indoors (bars, restaurants).

Out neighbor 2 doors down smokes. His wife doesn't allow it in the house so he does it on his porch and it stinks up our house.

Yessssss. I have an extremely strong sense of smell and the odors from commercial cigarettes are revolting. What's worse is that the senses of cigarette smokers, in my experience, are blunted due to the smoking and they can't smell any other foul odors they give off in addition to the smoke smell.

yea thats my only real issue with them, i dont care that they smoke, but FFS put your butts in an ashtray or similar device and dont just toss them out
