do sears appliance and home/garden (lawn mowers) get paid commission?

It's hard for me to gauge because sometimes they're all over me when I walk in and other times I could drive riding lawn mower out of the store and they wouldn't care.

so i went to sears and found the fridge i wanted for 2,500.
then I just so happened to check out Howards....... same exact fridge. $1,975.00

bingo. sears sux.
