It depends on the situation. If, like you, I were out with a friend and his girl and they were constantly kissing in front of me, I would probbably feel the same way.

If you're a couple, and you are that into each other that you cant leave each other alone for more than 5 minutes, then why the hell are you out hanging out with your friends? It just baffles me. I could see making out in a corner at a party where theres tons of people, but not with one or two friends around. It alienates the other members of the group.

Not at all....if it's a bit much then they should get a room though.....

posts where a poll is clearly needed but not present can be annoying though ;)

We'll start selling tickets, sort of like De La Hoya versus the other guy (*shrug* I don't pay attention to it)

lol my moneys on you!

and to answer your question, PDA does bother me. I have no problems with hugging or something similar but when two people practically go at it at the dinner table, that's where I draw the line! Unless she's hot of course and some sort of supermodel :D

woo woo, the lifer challenge has arrived!!1 :p

doesnt really bother me, as long as i dont have to stare at it, and as long as they arent going at it fully (ie, making out etc)

You didn't get the message? They wanted you to go and leave them to it.

3's a crowd.

That was the overall message I got from Lindsay (the girl). She is quite possessive.

kill her.

Was sitting in a bar in Greece this summer, minding my own business, when I looked to my left and noticed a couple sucking each other's faces for five minutes at a time. I then looked a little lower to see his hand between her legs, under her skirt doing you know what. The occasional gasp escaped her during the hour or so that they sat there.

Did it bother me? No. I'm a voyeur at heart ;) And I just love Europeans!

(Even if it had bothered me, there was no place I could move to given the crowd in the bar.)

PDA has always bothered me. It bothers my wife as well. In college we had some friends who felt the same as we and there were some friends who always had to be touching each other.

It pisses me off when people are hanging all over each other when I'm trying to walk down the aisle of a grocery store or anywhere else. It makes me want to break out the 12-guage w/ buckshot....

If people are sitting down...and not in anyone's way, then I don't care what they do.

It bothers me, but not my wife. I hate it when she stops in the middle of the grocery store to give me a kiss. Seriously.

Doesn't particularly bother me.

It does leave a person wondering how to act/react if it is done constantly though.

How does display of affection in Public enhance/affect a relationship? If 2 ppl like each other, they dont have to prove every now and then to the whole world...
Or is it like a beacon that HAS to 'beep' periodically just to make sure that the other person still likes you??

I would have told the friend (or hwoever I was with) to keep their fvcking 'public display of affection' to themselves whenever I was around.

Only when it gets so hot and heavy that it looks like they should get a room.

Otherwise, no.

Depends on a number of situations.

Are you with the people doing it, and is it to the point where they are ignoring everyone else?
Are they getting a little too much into it, like, you can see spit being swapped, or there is excessive groping?
Are they doing it to spite someone?
Are they doing it in inappropriate places, like a wedding... or a business conference or something...uh... I can't think of a better example...

If any of the above are yes, then yes, I am very bothered.
But as far as I'm concerned, I don't care if a couple is off in a secluded seat at a restarant and wants to share the moment.

Does it bother you when people hold hands? Same concept.

No, PDAs don't bother me, generally. However, the setting and context can sometimes be inappropriate. I can understand your angle. My GF and I are usually very affectionate, but it has never been a problem.

I'm not bothered by them if they are just light kisses or hugs. When a man tongues down his gf and is grabbing her butt I get a bit bothered.

When a scrawny, pale, little goth boy slides his hands in and out of his girlfriend's rolls of fat, then yes, yes indeed, do I have a problem with PDAs.

Heh. I still go to high school - the hallways are routinely chock full of this. Both my girlfriend and I HATE the offenders with a passion. Especially because it makes it virtually impossible to get through certain choke points in the building (Fire doors) without being late to class.

I dont particularly have a problem with it, esp if its me and my gf showing the effection. :p When I see people doing that, I just remember how great it must feel for them, and not let it bother me. Unless they look like they are committing a crime against humanity (read: fugly people all over each other :disgust: ), then it doesnt bother me at all. :)
