Do posts send email confirmation?

Just wanted to test whether posting a message notifies the user the a message has been posted in his/her name and/or requires some kind of confirmation.
 
Only if you subscribe to a thread. You can do that in any thread. At the upper right of the posts, there are four icons. Click the left most of those to subscribe or unsubscribe from any thread.

In your profile, you can choose whether you want your notification by email or by PM (our forums Private Message system).
