Do plants really grow better when exposed to certain types of music?

I seriously doubt it.

It's like saying a child will become smarter if his front lawn has a different type of grass than his neighbors.

It just doesn't make any sense :(

rap, hiphop, and all related forms are NOT music... and also kill plants.

Did Mythbusters actually explain any potential science behind this phenomenon? I just cannot understand how music would effect plant growth...

I play bob Marley 24/7 and don't notice any increase in yield. I will try death metal out and report back in 75 days.

All I listen to is death metal. So this would explain the rapid growth of trees and plants in the vicinity.

the difference here is that death metal will increase yield, but Bob Marley will increase % of necessary components...
