No. The iPhone keyboard is excellent and a keyboard would just be wasted space and/or make the phone thicker.
Physical keyboards on phones are a dying breed. We'll never see one 'natively' on an iPhone model and they're be progressively rarer on Android phones. 1 per carrier, if that.
I have a physical keyboard, but now that I am so used to swype, I can live without it. Does the iPhone have an equivalent to swype? I am an Android guy, but my contract comes up around September of next year, so I want to see what the iPhone 5 looks like.
It seems people want physical QWERTY high ended phones nowadays.
how come they are dying?
The majority of consumers don't want slightly better accuracy. They want new technological advancements that make things look pretty and shiny. A physical keyboard would be seen as a step back for many. It also doesn't fit with the iPhone's minimalist design. They only appeal to limited market these days, though I still think there will be people wanting physical keyboards for a long time. Given the choice between two identical phones, one with a keyboard and one without, I'd take the keyboard if the phones dimensions were the same. Sadly, you have to make a trade off. Thinner phone and a slower, less accurate virtual keyboard, or a thicker phone and a faster, more accurate keyboard.
The chance of the IP5 getting a physical keyboard is 0%.
Iphones have the best touchcreen keyboard.
I have had many Android phones and none can rival the iphones.
I have a GS2 right with a 4.52" screen and its not as accurate as iphones tiny 3.5" screen.

You need to try the keyboard on the Galaxy Nexus. It's just as good as the iPhone. I felt the same as you about every Android phone keyboard til I used Galaxy Nexus ICS keyboard. In fact I think it's better than iPhone keyboard since the big screen on Galaxy Nexus makes for easier typing. ICS keyboard is huge improvement over keyboard found on Gingerbread.
Just sold my iPhone 4S for the Galaxy Nexus, but I don't agree. Even with the smaller screen I was way more accurate typing on the iPhone. The Galaxy Nexus is certainly better than my OG Droid, but I thought the iOS keyboard was really good.
One thing that really bugs me about Android keyboards is the the autocorrect doesn't work in the text field of browser windows, so typing forum posts, etc takes forever. I've tried a bunch of keyboards and none of them work, so it must be the browser or app.
Autocorrect most certainly does work in browser text fields on my sgs2 and using swiftkeyx. More so since this was typed on that combo. Yes looks and works ex tly like it does in any other text field.. Aside from my constantly hitting questions mark instead of the period key, and that is.
Can someone port or make the a😵🙄ndroid keyboard as accurate as the iPhone keyboard?
It certainly doesnt work on ICS with swiftkeyx or stock. May have worked in 2.2 or 2.3 but not on this nexus now
