i know there's remote desktop off of xp, but doesn't that require the pc you want to remote into and from to both have xp.

i read pcanywhere, a mature product, just has too much config options and doesn't offer a simple wizard for peeps that just wish to fire up and go.

are there any other products out there these days, small company or shareware, that are the niche of this type of softare.

what do you use?

wow, interesting... free huh. do you folks use it? iI'm checking it out, but I don't have to install it onto every pc I wish to remote into do I?

You can get the remote desktop client for other versions of windows. The server machine just has to be running Remote Desktop or Terminal Services.
