Do people still use torrent?

i do...but theyre not as useful as they were a few months ago, thats for sure...if the torrent is brand new its generally ok...but if its an older one...i seem to get a lot of tracker proplems...

judging from the number of seeders and leechers i see on the torrents, yes
 
WoW uses torrent tech to distribute patches. Goofy way to distribute, but they figure they get to pocket the money they save on bandwidth.

Yea thats what iwas saying. But with peer guardian, you should be able to avoid ips from coenncting to you
 
pulled down a couple of apps but they turned out to bogus files that i downloaded for 3 days. pulled down some episodes of the OC

Kind of off-topic, but this reminds me of a tv news show a few years ago where some funeral parlor in the USA was sued by Canadainas over some issue where Canadian law was different than US law. Because of NAFTA the funeral place could be sued for violating Canadian law. I don't know how it turned out though.


But I was wondering if the same issue isn't likely to come up again, given the differing copyright decisions and laws of the 2 countries ?
 
torrents = english subs = slow releases/limited selection for me. bittorent is such a upload bandwidth hog to boot :evil:
