Do people in Australia really call their grill, the "barbie?"

I used to date a girl with bleach blond hair, huge hooters, lots of fake friends and three cell phones. I'd call her "Barbie" whenever she did something stupid...which was often. She'd get pissed and defend her missing IQ points. I'd laugh. The relationship was pretty short. 😀
