Do people from other states pronounce the abbeveation?

Do other people do that for other states? Is it just common for Pennsylvania? Everybody does this here...and it really bothers me.

Maybe because the word Pennsylvania is to long? Sure, its no Maine when it comes to syllables, but still...it isn't that bad. But do people in California say CA? I doubt it.

I don't know why it bothers me. Maybe I just feel bad for the other states. Have we become so fucking friendly with the state Pennsylvania that we can just call it by this nickname. I doubt it...I bet Pennsylvania thinks we are all assholes.

The people I know from Pennsylvania do say "PA." I also say and hear "Cali" a lot when I'm on the east coast.
