I see it all over the place - anandtech or a couple of immigration boards I've had to use recently to find information. People love to read a title and then not read the content at all and make irrelevant statements. In regards to immigration these statements are often wrong as well. I mean skoorb effect aside (some threads are too long to read) shouldn't a person's first post to a thread at least be relevant to the original poster's first post at the very least?!
For instance on grasmick.com - me asking about some peculiar SSN law and one guy's response "You can only get an SSN if you have work authorization from the INS and the card will be stamped "valid with work authorization from INS". " Wrong butt head! Read my f**king message and you'd realize that's wrong. Or another one: "So, you just want a SSN, well if she apply for a driver license, from there they will give her a letter to go and apply for a SSN. " Wrong again! People spouting off crap like that as if it's gospel is liable to get other people in trouble. Damnit!!
Anyway I'm going to bed. I don't know where this post came from either. Mad!! :|
