Do overclockers gamers need 256mb ram?

I have a cusl2 with 128mb ram mosel vitalic rev 2 at cas222 5t7t with my p3 700 running at 133mhz bus....I am a hardcore gamer and was wondering if I should get an extra stick of 128mbsdram cuz the prices are so low now. Is it worth it at all? I use win98se for games and win2k for hw and web browsing. I heard some rumors that 256mb ram might decrease performance or some stuff like that. What do you hardcore gamer/overclockers think?
 
heres a good way to decide, use win2k, play some games and stuff, do your normal things. go to task manager and look at how much ram it says youve used, like how much youved topped out using, if its over 128mb, upgrade
 
It all depends on what you do with your computer. I use 384, but that?s because I need it, I do lots of multitasking on my computer, sometimes I?ll have 6-7 programs running at once. If your just a gamer 128 should be more then enough, but if you play games and do other stuff on the same computer I would think of getting a little more, even 64MB would be something to think about. Or like you say, 128 is cheap now, I can get a stick or 128 Infineon here from local VAR for $90. Just a month ago it was $140
