Do other states make you take a Government course specific to them during college?

I'm sitting here reading my Texas Government book in preparation for a test tomorrow and wondering if people in other states have to do this. It is mandatory in every college/university in Texas to take both U.S. Government and Texas State/Local government. I wonder if anyone else has to do this?

BTW, we also have to take Texas History in gradeschool and it is also offered at the college level, though not usually required.

Supposed to be a part of my History class. History teacher handed out a 2 sided page with questions covering 9-10 chapters of a book he told us not to buy. He then proceeded to tell us to google the answers, copy from a friend, make them up, etc. He said he was there to teach us history, not government.

Nope, not in California, but I did take a California history class just because it was an easy A.

i had to take a california history class to satisify one of the graduation requirements...

one thing in high school that we had to do in san francisco was take a swimming test before we could graduate...

at san jose state university, mechanical engineers now have to take the EIT before they can graduate.. they don't have to pass, they just have to take it..
